  1. I haven’t had a relaxer in a couple of months. I would like to go natural. I’m contemplating whether I should just transition or chop it off and start over. I don’t know who to see about consultation and my best option.

    • Thank you for contacting us. The process of transitioning from relaxer to natural can be difficult. We want to make this process simple. We will email you with contact information for experienced natural hair stylists that can walk you through process. You have many options. You can transition by cutting it off, wearing a short cut, a natural hair style, or braids. We will forward your information to recommended stylists. Have a happy hair journey.

  2. Hello! I have been transitioning to natural for a year now and I am looking for a stylist in the Baltimore County area to clip and style my hair. Do you have any recommendations for stylist in that area? Thank you.

  3. I have been natural for about 5 years now. I have worn my hair very low for years but this year I decided to grow it out. I recently took some braids out because I wanted to maintain my hair so it can grow. I took my braids out and I have an afro. I am looking for someone to help me with structuring, restoring and maintaining my hair. Can you give any insight?

  7. Hi,

I’m searching for a natural hair salon in the Batlimore county/city area. I’ve been natural for four years and I’m looking for someone to trim and maybe dye my hair. I normally trim my own hair but I would like it done professionally. I’ve never had dye and was wondering is there natural a dye available??

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

    • Good day. We will refer you to a salon in Baltimore. We would recommend Naturtint for natural hair coloring or henna. Naturtint is ammonia free. Ammonia causes dryness. Colored hair needs moisture. Steam treatments and deep conditioner treatments are important. Oil is a sealant. Please make sure that you use natural oils like castor oil, vitamin e, olive oil, almond oil, etc.

  12. So I am completely natural and have suffered from heat damage from a stylist that claim to know how to do natural hair. I have been struggle to find a stylist that can teach me what I need to know for my hair type and order for it to grow. I am now ready to cut my hair short and start over because I am tired of seeing the straight ends. I really want to grow my hair to waist length but I need a stylist that knows natural hair and not one that can just “do it”…. Please help if can.

  17. Hello,

I’ve been natural four 3.5 years. I transitioned slowly from relaxed hair overtime. I have been going to a Dominican salon however, I am now looking for a stylist who is educated about natural hair and how to take care of it. I live in Laurel, MD. I would like to get an appointment on Friday, Jan. 1, if possible.

    Thank you!

  18. Hello. I live in Columbia Md. I am looking for a professional Natural hair stylist who would help me learn how to style my natural hair.

  19. Hi,

I have been wearing my hair completely natural for a half year now. I desperately want styles that would look nice with my hair texture & length. I also would like to learn about hair products that will keep my hair moist with sheen. My hair tends to get dry quickly. If there is a stylist in the area of Los Angeles to help as well that would be so helpful. Thank you, Amber
