I would like to share with you a little about my natural hair journey. My interest in natural hair came when I decided to transition from chemically processed hair to my God given natural beauty on June 24, 2009. I transitioned for six months. During the time of transitioning, I was in the search for a natural salon that would care for my natural hair & shared the same interest in living a healthy lifestyle. While battling the two textures, I came to Na’Klectic for a consultation and realized this was the place I’ve been looking for. I decided to set myself free and had my “Big Chop” on December 24, 2009. I came to Na’Klectic and was greeted by Renee. During one of my many hair appointments, I expressed to her that I would love to learn to style and care for natural hair. I was given the opportunity to become an apprentice at the salon and the salon assistant. Then, I later became the Assistant Manager of Na-Klectic and natural hair stylist.
